Nicole Kidman's West End return will take place at London's Noël Coward Theatre.
The actress will lead the cast of Anna Ziegler's play Photograph 51 later this year.
The production will run from September 5 until November 21.
The last time fans got to see Kidman on stage was in David Hare's The Blue Room back in 1998.
Michael Grandage's production of Photograph 51 focuses on British scientist Rosalind Franklin, who was largely overlooked for her discovery of the double-helix shape of DNA.
Francis Crick and James Watson's research went on to win them the Nobel Prize.
