The Great British Bake Off's Ruby Tandoh has just come out on Twitter - and joked that it was finally putting those Paul Hollywood rumours to bed.

The food writer - who appeared on The Great British Bake Off in 2013 - was often the subject of critical comments about her relationship with judge Hollywood on the show.

She took to Twitter earlier today to reveal that she has opened up to her family about her sexuality, posting a link to Diana Ross's 'I'm Coming Out' music video and adding: "me to my parents today. feeling lucky and joyful and f r e e. over and Out."

Tandoh added: "& to all the bros who hate social media, who pit it against 'real life' - I never would've had courage to be me w/out twitter's queer queens."

The baker couldn't resist a little jibe at all those who had speculated about her relationship with Hollywood either, joyfully tweeting: "p.s. for those who thought I fancied Paul Hollywood or that I'd ever bang him to get ahead - JOKE'S ON YOU, YOU MASSIVE S**TTING MISOGYNISTS."
