Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has denied claims that she is romantically involved with the ex-partner of Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring.
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday, Waring - who plays Cindy Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap - branded Marsh "heartless" for supposedly starting a relationship with her ex-partner Dan Hooper, with whom she has a 3-year-old daughter.
Marsh - who has been photographed holding hands with Hooper - has hit back at the claims, adding that she is "upset" that Waring went public with the story.
Her spokesperson said: "Kym is very upset that Stephanie feels the way she does and has chosen to sell her story to a newspaper rather than speak to her directly.
"Kym and Dan are not in a relationship but have both been single for some time and are entitled to socialise with whomever they wish. Kym has more dignity than to respond further."
In the interview, Waring said that she "can't forgive" Marsh, who she said she had considered a friend "for years".

The Hollyoaks star said: "There is an unwritten rule that if you are friends with somebody you don't go near their ex partners.
"Especially when children are involved. He's not just some guy that I went out with for a year. This is a man I spent half a decade with and have a child with.
"He's a free and single man who can do as he pleases. But Kym I actually considered a friend who I've known for years. It's left me in bits. She's heartless."
She also claimed to have confided in Marsh about her relationship problems a few weeks before she and Hooper split in February.
When Waring suspected that the Coronation Street actress was dating her ex earlier this month, she confronted her via text message.
Waring claimed that Marsh replied: "I've not been 'seeing' anyone but babe if I was what issue have you got?
"Babe honestly listen, s*** happens in people's lives...I didn't set out to hurt anyone but babe I love ya."
Waring and Hooper dated for five years and welcomed daughter Lexi Grace in 2010.
Meanwhile, Marsh was granted a divorce from former Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas in January after 16 months of marriage. The pair had been together since 2008.
Marsh was previously married to EastEnders actor Jack Ryder between 2002 and 2008.
