More cast announcements for the stage production of Shakespeare in Love have been unveiled.

New additions include Anna Carteret, who will play Queen Elizabeth, and Tony Bell, who will take on the role of Ralph.

Other names in the production include Ian Bartholomew, Paul Chahidi, David Ganley, Richard Howard, Harry Jardine, Abigail McKern, David Oates, Patrick Osborne, Alistair Petrie, Doug Rao, Ferdy Roberts and Colin Ryan. Gaiety will play Crab the dog.

Tom Bateman and Lucy Briggs-Owen were previously announced to play the two leads Will Shakespeare and Viola de Lesseps respectively.

Further casting is still to be announced. The production will be directed by Declan Donnellan.

The casting announcement coincides with the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare's birth.
