Susanna Reid has taken a break from BBC Breakfast.
The regular co-host of the BBC One morning show is believed to have been granted time off following the breakdown of her long-term relationship with Dominic Cotton last week.
Following press speculation over the weekend, a BBC spokesperson confirmed that Reid would not appear on Monday's (March 3) edition of the programme.
It has not been disclosed when she is due to return, and the statement was made before news of Daybreak's axe and confirmation that Reid will move to ITV to host new breakfast show Good Morning Britain.
On Friday (February 28), Reid released a statement confirming her split from the father of her three sons.
"Susanna Reid and Dominic Cotton have agreed to separate but remain good friends," her agent said.
"The welfare of their children remains paramount for both of them at this time. Please respect their space and privacy."
