Tom Daley and John Hurt were among the star guests at a special gala performance of War Horse at the New London Theatre last night (Thursday February 27).
The internationally acclaimed production, based on Michael Morpurgo's treasured children's novel of the same title, was simultaneously broadcast from the theatre to cinemas around the world for a National Theatre Live event.
Olympic diver Daley and actor Hurt happily posed with the play's loveable life-size horse puppet Joey on the red carpet.
Fellow celebrity guests included Phillip Schofield and former Corrie and Strictly star Natalie Gumede, who also gave the equine creation a stroke for the cameras.
Morpurgo and the stage show's directors Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris were also in attendance, and were later interviewed on stage.
War Horse is currently enjoying its seventh year on stage in London, and recently celebrated its 2,000th performance in the West End.
