Justin Bieber has been charged for allegedly assaulting a limo driver.

According to the Toronto Police Service, the popstar will now appear in court on March 11 in connection with an incident which took place in December.

A limousine picked up a group of six people outside a nightclub in the city on December 30, when an altercation occurred between one of the passengers and the driver.

Bieber's entourage and the limo driver apparently had a disagreement which allegedly turned physical, reports TMZ.

Bieber has issued no comment on the matter at this time.

This is the latest legal problem for Bieber, who was arrested in Miami last week on suspicion of DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired licence.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges on Wednesday (January 29) and is due back in court for an arraignment on Valentine's Day (February 14).
