The stars were out in force to applaud the most outstanding performances in television and movies at the 20th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Lupita Nyong'o, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams were among the actors who impressed with their red carpet style at last night's (January 18) ceremony.


Nyong'o - who took home an award for her role in 12 Years a Slave - wore a bright turquoise Gucci gown with a statement floral neckline.

Also opting for blue hues were Homeland stars Claire Danes and Morena Baccarin.


Danes opted for a sequin number by Vionnet, while Baccarin went for a soft tulle Monique Lhuillier gown with cap sleeves.

Dior spokesmodel Jennifer Lawrence wore a sequinned column dress by the designer, while her American Hustle co-star Amy Adams chose a one-shouldered royal blue gown by Antonio Berardi, with a split skirt and gold waist detail.

Meanwhile, Matthew McConaughey sported a Dolce and Gabbana suit as he celebrated his win for his portrayal of Ron Woodruff in Dallas Buyers Club.

Cate Blanchett, who won the Female Actor in a Lead Role accolade for Blue Jasmine, looked glamourous in a pink Givenchy gown with sequinned halterneck detail.


The ceremony's major winners also included Dallas Buyers Club's Jared Leto and Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston.

The cast of Modern Family won the award for Ensemble in a Comedy Series, while American Hustle's cast were recognised in the Ensemble in a Motion Picture category.
