The 46-year-old actress ran the 26.2-mile race through the city's five boroughs in five hours, 41 minutes and three seconds, and later shared a picture of herself icing down a hip and knee.

She did the marathon with her brother Gerry, and thanked him for his support on Twitter.
"So proud of my brother Gerry. Thank G. For running next to me today- love you lots," she wrote.
Anderson was part of a team to support Sean Penn's J/P Haitian Relief Organization and is thought to have raised $76,000.

The non-profit was founded to help with relief efforts after the country suffered a devastating earthquake in 2010.
Anderson offered fans the chance to join her on a two-mile training run through New York's Central Park as part of an auction on Charity Buzz last month.
"I've been so moved by the work J/P HRO has done," she wrote on the company's page at the time.
"Sean Penn and his dedicated team have done an amazing job leading this organization and I'm happy to lend my support. I'm proud to be a part of team J/P HRO and excited to run alongside fellow supporters and these inspiring Haitian athletes."
