The X Factor boss, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, adopted the two dogs earlier this month and revealed their names on Twitter last night.

Explaining that the dogs are brother and sister, he added: "Squiddly is the girl and Diddly is the boy. It was Lauren my girlfriend who chose the outfits. I am setting up a squiddly diddly twitter account."
Cowell also confessed that one of his new pets isn't a fan of The X Factor USA, tweeting: "During one performance tonight one of my new puppies ran out of my bedroom and wouldn't come back until I turned the sound off."
The 54-year-old recently confirmed plans to marry Silverman, branding accusations that she is a 'gold digger' "absolute nonsense".
"I obviously can't blame the media - it was kind of what I call a juicy story," he said. "But there was a lot of stuff that was said about her - that she trapped me and that she's a gold-digger. It's absolute nonsense."
