Cory Monteith's autopsy will be fast-tracked in response to "intense public interest", reports suggest.
According to E! Online, a Vancouver Police Department source expects the results from the autopsy, including cause of death, to be known in "two or three days".
The star of Fox TV's Glee was found dead in his room at the Pacific Rim Hotel in the city on Saturday (July 13), after failing to check out on time.
Deputy Police Chief Doug LaPard has stated that there were no signs of foul play and that the cause of death was not immediately apparent.
A spokesperson for Monteith's girlfriend and co-star Lea Michele told People: "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time."
Monteith entered rehab for substance addiction earlier this year, during which time Michele publicly stated she would help him through the process.
