Speaking to Hello, the Strictly Come Dancing 2012 champion admitted that he "can't wait to fall in love again".

"I'm very fussy in terms of who I get into a relationship with but when I am, I wear my heart on my sleeve," he explained.

"It would be nice to put on a DVD, light the fire, cuddle on the rug and watch a film."

Smith was left heartbroken after splitting up with girlfriend Billie Whyatt two years ago, admitting that his strict training regime has meant he's remained single since the breakup.

During the interview at his new home - which features an outdoor jacuzzi and secret chill-out room hidden behind a sliding bookcase - Smith also revealed his ambitions to be a father.

"I want a little Louis Smith junior running around, pulling the dog's tail. I think I'd be a great dad."

The gymnast has yet to decide whether he will take part in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, although he admitted recently that he was "taking a break from entertainment".
