Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has revealed the name of his baby daughter and shared a photo of her for the first time in an adorable Instagram post.

The actor, who played lovable Ron Weasley in all eight of the Potter films, joined Instagram for the first time today (November 10) and made excellent use of his first post as he introduced his little one to the world.

"Hey Instagram....only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert," the actor wrote, alongside a photo of himself cradling baby Wednesday, who is dressed in a bright pink jumper.

His Harry Potter co-star Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, sent his love to his on-screen enemy, writing: "Welcome Weasley, it's about time. Love to Wednesday xx"

Rupert and his actress partner Georgia Groome, who starred in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, welcomed baby Wednesday in May this year, a month after Georgia's pregnancy was revealed.

Until now, the couple, who have been together since 2011, had not revealed any details about their daughter.

Rupert isn't the only Potter star to have welcomed a baby this year as Jessie Cave, who played Ron's one-time girlfriend Lavender Brown, welcomed her third child Abraham 'Bam' Benjamin in October.

Seamus Finnigan actor Devon Murray announced in July that he is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Shannon McCaffrey Quinn in January 2021, while Scarlett Hefner, who played Pansy Parkinson, welcomed her daughter Betsy in August after announcing her pregnancy in March.

Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, admitted that Rupert welcoming baby Wednesday felt "super weird" because it reminded him of their age, saying: "It's also like super weird, for me, to think that we are all at the age where we are all having children, but we definitely are."
