Lionel Richie believes his daughter Nicole Richie and ex-friend Paris Hilton will eventually make up.
The feud between the two Simple Life stars has been going on for a very long time without the true cause for the split ever being revealed. Reports had been beginning to say that the pair would never rekindle their friendship, though Lionel has commented otherwise.
His daughter and Paris had been friends since they were toddlers, due to Lionel's ongoing friendship with the hotel heiress' parents Kathy and Nick Hilton.
The 'Hello' singer told a Massachusetts radio station: "They have been having arguments since they were three.
"My mother gave me some good advice: 'As parents, if we can just stay out of our kids' arguments, nine times out of 10 it will take care of itself.'"
