President Sam Nujoma of Namibia has presented Angelina Jolie with a letter thanking her for her stay in the country.

Apparently the leader is so grateful for the way the actress and Brad Pitt have turned the eyes of the world towards the African nation that he has formalised his thanks in the form on an official letter.

According to In Touch, the letter reads: "For the first time ever, our entire nation can agree on something - how wonderful it is that you chose Namibia for your special day.

"You didn't just birth a child but a new era for our new country. If we are the UN's baby, then you, as one of its greatest supporters, are among its founding mothers.

"Never forget, you and your family will always have a home here."

The President is reportedly one of many Namibians trying to push for a new national day to mark the birth of baby Shiloh.
