A rep for Michael Douglas has announced that doctors have discovered a tumour in the actor's throat.
The 65-year-old will receive eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatments after having the tumour removed, reports People.
"I am very optimistic," he said.
Douglas is expected to make a full recovery.
