A woman who is accused of attacking Leonardo DiCaprio in 2005 has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

Aretha Wilson, who was arraigned in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday, allegedly slashed the Inception star's face with a glass during a Hollywood party.

The actor needed 17 stitches to close up the wound.

The 40-year-old was previously given a restraining order and she is currently being held on $150,000 (£95,000) bail.

Wilson, who must return to court on August 23, could spend up to four years in prison if she is convicted.
