Lawrence Taylor has been accused of raping a 16-year-old prostitute after she was allegedly forced to his hotel room against his will.
According to Access Hollywood, the former New York Giants linebacker was arrested early on Thursday at a Holiday Inn in New York.
The age of consent in the state is 17 years.
"We're confident his innocence will be proven," claimed Kenneth Gribetz, an attorney for Taylor.
