Heather Mills has admitted that she is 'flattered' by the male attention she has received since becoming single.
The former model, who was awarded £24.3 million in her divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney in March, claimed that she has not been short of admirers over the past two years.
"Am I happy? Well, I'm getting there and I hope to be one day very soon," Mills told the Daily Mail. "I've been single for two-and-a-half years now, so yeah, I'm ready to start dating again.
"Do I have lots of men hitting on me? Always! It's very flattering. I'm not looking for any particular type of man, I don't have an ideal. I'm open to different types of people and I'm now in a position to feel ready to move on and build a new relationship."
Despite frequently receiving bad press, Mills has vowed to stay in the spotlight for the sake of her charity campaigns.
"People don't like bullies and I stand up to them," she explained. "Sometimes I think why do I keep doing this? Why do I keep battering away at my charity work? Especially when people keep saying these awful things about me. I'm only human and it's very depressing.

"It would be easier to just give up, but these are things I really care about. Children, the disabled, animals, so I go on."
Yesterday it emerged that Mills had filed a lawsuit against her former publicist Michele Elyzabeth after she made a number of allegations about her in a newspaper interview.
