Ella Henderson defied the rain at Virgin Media V Festival with a polished performance at Hylands Park today (August 23).

The singer performed a medley of tracks from her debut album Chapter One, with an impressive turnout despite the heavy showers hitting Chelmsford.

Henderson walked on stage wearing a black jumpsuit and wide-rimmed hat waving to the crowd before launching into 'Glow' immediately followed by 'Pieces'.

Announcing the track as "one of my favourites" and describing how she wrote it about "the most selfish person I've ever met" the star treated Hylands Park to a rendition of 'Mirror Man'.

"V Fest I'm so sorry about the rain. If I could take it away I would," Henderson said before dedicating her next song 'Yours' to anybody in the crowd with someone they love.

A cover of OneRepublic's 'Love Runs Out' got the audience clapping while Sigma collaboration 'Glitterball' mixed up the tempo.
