Jess Glynne broke down in tears during an emotional performance at Virgin Media V Festival.

The singer was performing a stripped back version of her hit 'My Love' when she was overcome by emotion, but powered on through to finish the song.

Glynne drew enormous crowds to the MTV Stage and raced through hits such as Clean Bandit's 'Rather Be' as well as tracks from her debut album I Cry When I Laugh.

"I'm gonna cry but it's all good," the singer joked before performing her penultimate track and current number one 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself'.

Yesterday (August 21) Glynne's 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself' topped the charts, bringing her up to speed with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's chart record.

Tinie Tempah made an energetic appearance elsewhere in the set to perform their collaborative hit 'Not Letting Go', with Glynne encouraging: "Can I get everyone to scream 'cause I'm bringing out my man."
