Marina & The Diamonds triumphed at Virgin Media V Festival, despite suffering a minor technical difficulty.
Marina Diamandis brought the energy and the colour to Hylands Park in Chelmsford, strutting on stage in a unitard decorated with multicoloured smiley faces and sporting a silver headpiece.

The singer launched straight into 'Bubblegum Bitch' with the support of a four-piece band. "Hello! How are you doing? It's nice to see you, my name is Marina. It's my first time at V Festival," she told the crowd before leading into 'I Am Not A Robot'.
With the sun beating down, the star encouraged the crowd to sing along and jump, belting through favourites such as 'Hollywood' and 'Primadonna'.
The singer also dipped into her latest album Froot, sinking to her knees and singing the title track down the camera.
A sudden technical difficulty led to a stilted introduction to finale 'How To Be A Heartbreaker', but Marina powered through with a typically gutsy performance.
Thanking the crowds and taking a bow alongside her band, it's safe to say Marina & The Diamonds' first V Festival was a success.
