The soul musician has entered straight at number one with his second record Love & Hate as the albums chart celebrates its 60th birthday.
Adele isn't budging from the chart either as her latest record 25 sticks at two, celebrating its 31st week in the Top 10 in the process.
Meanwhile Christine & The Queens climb five places to reach a new peak at three with Chaleur Humaine as Drake's Views is at four and Coldplay's A Head Full Of Dreams rounds off the Top 5.
Bob Marley & The Wailer's Legend shoots up 31 places to eight after becoming part of a selection of records currently on promotion to celebrate the chart's birthday.
Similarly Ed Sheeran's X climbs to 17 as Abba's Gold leaps 45 places to 30 and Queen's Greatest Hits is up 33 spots to 39.
