Nick Grimshaw luckily escaped injury from a serious car crash on Monday (August 22).

A spokesperson for the former X Factor judge and current Radio 1 Breakfast Show DJ confirmed to Digital Spy that Grimshaw walked away unscathed from a traffic incident near his Primrose Hill home.

His representative told us: "Nick is absolutely fine - he was driving at no more than 15mph and he swerved to avoid a cat.

"No one was hurt and Nick will be doing his breakfast show as normal tomorrow morning."

Grimshaw also assured fans he's feeling well late Monday, tweeting: "had an accident in the car but all ok - shout out to all my lovely neighbours for helping out ✌💕 see u in the morning....I'll er get a cab."

Initial reports suggested that Nick flipped his black Mercedes SUV on its side, all in a bid to avoid harming the innocent cat crossing the road.
