alt-J delivered a solid performance ahead of Mumford & Sons' headline slot at Reading this evening (August 28).
Kicking off their set with the atmospheric 'Hunger of the Pine', the band proceeded to treat fans to a selection of tracks from both their recent album This Is All Yours and their debut record.
"How are you doing tonight, Reading? Thank you very much, it's amazing to be back here at Reading, wow," Gus Unger-Hamilton of the band told the crowd before they slipped into a rendition of 'Something Good'.
alt-J continued to stun with an impressive light display, bathing the main stage dwellers in a whole spectrum of colours as their set progressed.
The bluesy 'Left Hand Free' marked the most energetic point in the group's set, with the audience enthusiastically clapping along. Meanwhile, the likes of 'Matilda' floated across the masses with euphoric ease.
alt-J squeezed an impressive amount of numbers into their hour-long performance, from their classic track 'Fitzpleasure' to new favourite 'Every Other Freckle'.
