As if Glastonbury doesn't already boast one of the biggest and most impressive festival line-ups of the year, it generally likes to throw in a few surprises to keep everyone on their toes.
Of course, no-one will really know who's going to pop up until the festival gets going on Wednesday (June 22), but there are plenty of rumours out there to give a good idea of who might make an unannounced appearance at Worthy Farm.
What to Read Next
Here are five big names from the world of music who have a very real chance of surprising 135,000 festival-goers this weekend, whether it's a full secret set or an impromptu special appearance during someone else's set.
RADIOHEAD
The British band are pretty well rehearsed when it comes to surprising a Glastonbury crowd, having last popped up unannounced on the Park Stage back in 2011. Festival founder Michael Eavis seemingly slipped up last month when he listed Radiohead among the exciting acts to see at Glastonbury this year, but doubt has since been thrown over it by Emily Eavis saying they're not actually confirmed. Argh! Who to believe?
BEYONCÉ
While we highly doubt Beyoncé is going to pop up on the Sonic Stage for a quick 'Single Ladies' rendition, there's a fairly decent chance she could appear alongside Coldplay for their set on the Sunday evening for a performance of their single 'Hymn For The Weekend'. Queen Bey is in the country to start her stadium tour the following day, so what better than a massive Glastonbury crowd to get her warmed up?
RIHANNA
Again, we don't think Rihanna is going to be the special guest opening the Other Stage at 11am on Friday morning, but a brief appearance during Coldplay's set isn't completely out of the question. Ri is playing Wembley Stadium in London on Friday night, so ticking two iconic British music venues with a singalong at Glastonbury wouldn't be bad going for one weekend. Plus 'Princess of China' is a big tune we want heard in its full glory come Sunday.
KAISER CHIEFS
The Ricky Wilson-fronted band were special guests for the opening of the Other Stage back in 2014, so with a brand new single just released, surely now would be a great time to do it again. They certainly have the back catalogue of festival-ready anthems to get the weekend started good and proper.
THE AVALANCHES
Undoubtedly one of the more unexpected reunions this year, Aussie band The Avalanches could mark their return with a surprise set at Glastonbury. They've currently got nothing in the diary for this weekend...
