Adele, Coldplay and Muse may be top of the poster for this year's Glastonbury Festival, but tucked away amongst the extensive line-up are a handful of surprising names.

From a Pop Idol champion to two Labour politicians, we pick out eight Glastonbury acts you might not have expected to see at Worthy Farm over the weekend of June 24 to 26.

1. WILL YOUNG

When and where: Saturday, June 25  - 20:15-21:15 - Avalon Stage

The original Pop Idol will be heading to Worthy Farm with over a decade of hits this June. Considering there's a brand new EP on the way, fans should expect some fresh songs amongst the classic hits.

2. STAR WARS

What to Read Next

When and where: Saturday, June 25 - 13:00-15:15 - Pilton Palais Cinema

OK, so Daisy Ridley won't be there in person launching her new-found pop career, but The Force Awakens has been included as part of Glastonbury's cinema offering. If you took things too far the night before, a quick trip to a galaxy far, far away might be the perfect cure to ease you into a new day.

3. CRAIG DAVID

When and where: Sunday, June 26 - 20:00-21:00 - Sonic Stage

Just a year ago it seemed borderline impossible that Craig David would have another big hit, let alone his own set at Glastonbury. But here we are. And having seen his TS5 set recently, we highly recommend popping along for his throwback anthems, along with modern day blowouts.

4. WSTRN

When and where: Sunday, June 26 - 19:00-19:30 - Sonic Stage

Following their breakthrough with infectious Top 5 hit 'In2' before Christmas, London trio WSTRN will be bringing their brand of R&B-pop to Worthy Farm to give those energy levels a boost.

5. CHARLOTTE CHURCH

When and where: Sunday, June 26 - 1:00-2:00 - The Rabbit Hole

Those of you hoping for a rendition of 'Crazy Chick', don't hold your breath. But Charlotte Church will be at Glastonbury for the final night of proceedings, bringing along her "Pop Dungeon". We have no idea what it is, but it sounds fun enough.

6. JEREMY CORBYN

When and where: Sunday, June 26 - 13:00-14:00 - Left Field

Yes, you read that correctly. The Labour leader (and potential future Prime Minister) is popping along to Glastonbury for a conversational show. What more could you want with your Sunday roast, eh?

7. DERMOT O'LEARY

When and where: Friday, June 24 - 23:00-00:30 - The Rabbit Hole

The BBC Radio 2 DJ and reinstated X Factor host is making his Glastonbury return. It's in the elusive Rabbit Hole venue, which fills up very quickly, so we'd advise getting there early. In our best Dermot voice, ahem, "Your Friday night starts here!"

8. ED MILIBAND

When and where: Saturday, June 25 - 16:00-17:30 - Speaker's Forum

If it weren't enough booking the current Labour leader, Glastonbury have gone all out and invited along the former one too. Ed Miliband will be joined by Roger Harrabin to talk about climate and energy: the very two things all Glasonbury-goers are hoping for this year.
