They may have finished 24th at the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday (let's face it, they deserved to place higher), but Joe and Jake are not letting the disappointing result dampen their spirits.

In fact, the singing duo are looking forward to the future with a brand new single and a potential move into television.

"Our view is, whatever we're doing, as long as we're having fun that's the main thing," Jake Shakeshaft told Digital Spy. "It would be great to go into TV presenting - it'd be a lot of fun for us."

Asked what kind of show they'd like to front, Jake replied: "Definitely Top of the Pops. We'll get that back into the mainstream!"

Joe Woolford added: "We're open to all sorts of options. At the end of the day, whatever me and Jake do, we just really want to have fun with it.

"If we got approached to do something that felt right for us, then we'd definitely take the opportunity and go for it."

As for the final result in Stockholm on Saturday evening (May 14), the duo were happy with their performance albeit "gutted" they didn't score better with the public.

"We went on stage and gave the best performance we could've," Joe said. "We were pleased with it in terms of performance and vocal.

"The jury vote was great - it was a good start. But with these competitions, the public vote can just go one way or the other.

"We were gutted because we really wanted to get a great result for the UK, but unfortunately it didn't go that way."

Ukraine's Jamala took the Eurovision crown with her song '1944', toppling Australia's Dami Im in the final score.

Meanwhile, Joe and Jake are going to be releasing their second single together "very soon" through Sony Music, with a view to getting an album out too.
