David Bowie was given an emotional and powerful tribute at the Brit Awards 2016.
Annie Lennox was welcomed to the stage to pay her respects to the late icon, who passed away last month.
She described him as the "ultimate iconoclast" and "legendary", before introducing Bowie's friend Gary Oldman.
"We are all coming to terms with the magnitude of David's passing," Oldman said, sending his thoughts to Bowie's family.
"The world lost a man, an artist of transcendant talent. He was the living embodiment of that singular word - icon."
Fighting tears, Oldman added: "David faced his illness with grace and customary humour.

"When he wrote to tell me the bad news that he had cancer - he said the good news is I've got my cheekbones back. We love you, and we thank you."
Oldman then introduced Lorde and Bowie's backing band, who performed a medley of hits.
The 'Royals' singer joined them for a rendition of 'Life on Mars'.
