Ah, the Brit Awards. That one time of year where Peter Kay calling Liam Gallagher a knobhead and a cape sending the world into meltdown feel completely normal.
Over the years, one of the awards' biggest talking points has been its series of random on-stage collaborations, and we don't mean Michael Jackson and Jarvis Cocker. Below we've rounded up our 8 favourites.
1. MIKA vs BETH DITTO (2008)
Admittedly hurts our ears. But Beth Ditto randomly popping out of a tiny door and having a yell-off with Mika to 'Standing in the Way of Control' and then being cloaked by a red curtain is strange enough to break into our list. Truly bizarre.
2. FIVE vs BRIAN MAY (2000)
It's the millennium so obviously the Brits want to pull something extra special out the bag. That meant Five performing a rendition of 'We Will Rock You' in ankle-length black leather coats before the stage parted ways and Queen's very own Brian May appeared, all rounded off with flamethrowers and Five crowdsurfing. Obviously.

3. RIHANNA vs KLAXONS (2008)
It's 2008 and nu-rave is still the hottest new trend. What else do the kids love? Rihanna! Cue Rihanna singing 'Umbrella' on a giant tube of tin foil while Klaxons chime in with the token "Oooooh ahh"s from their biggest hit 'Golden Skans'.
4. ELTON JOHN vs RU PAUL (1994)
The amazing collaboration we all forgot about. Ru Paul and Elton John were such pros they didn't need props or elaborate stage production. Not even a mic stand. Bask in the magnificence of Ru Paul lip syncing for her life as Elton struggles to keep up with some loosely synchronised dance moves.
5. FLORENCE + THE MACHINE vs DIZZEE RASCAL (2010)
Harps? Check. Dizzee Rascal in a suit? Check. Florence in a giant rotating disco ball? Check. Florence and Dizzee's 2010 mashup of 'Dirtee Cash' and 'You've Got the Love' went down so well they ended up releasing it as a single and scoring a No.2 hit.
6. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE vs KYLIE MINOGUE (2003)
It's 2003 and we live in a strange dystopian world where Janet Jackson's nipples are yet to find international fame at the Super Bowl. Justin Timberlake is biding his time by sporting diamante earrings and clutching Kylie's bottom while singing a Blondie classic.
7. MARK RONSON vs AMY WINEHOUSE vs ADELE (2008)
... and Daniel Merriweather. Mark Ronson, pre-Ronsonaissance, was a bit greedy and chose three guests for his Brits performance. Either side of the Daniel Merriweather sandwich? Oh, just two of the biggest singers in the history of British music.
8. THE KLF vs EXTREME NOISE TERROR (1992)
You can't imagine Ant & Dec welcoming a crust punk and acid house collaboration to the Brits stage. James Bay would probably choke on his vol-au-vent.
This year's Brit Awards take place on Wednesday, February 24.
