Here's one reason to believe that 2018 may be less of a dumpster fire than 2017: A Cher musical is officially coming to Broadway.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, The Cher Show will have its pre-Broadway premiere in Chicago next summer, before opening at Manhattan's Neil Simon Theatre in fall.

Though casting is yet to be announced, the show has a whole boatload of behind-the-scenes musical talent attached.

It comes from Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and his producing partner Flody Suarez, with a book by Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), direction by Jason Moore (Avenue Q), choreography by Christopher Gattelli (Newsies), and orchestrations, arrangements and musical supervision by Daryl Waters (Memphis).

"My life as a musical on Broadway," Cher said in a statement. "It seems crazy, exciting and bizarre — but that's probably how my life seems to most people."
