In news that should strike fear into the heart of anyone with at least half-decent taste in music, Paris Hilton is apparently remixing and re-releasing 'Stars Are Blind', a decade-old song you had forgotten about or were lucky enough to have avoided altogether.
Here is the tweet from Paris that gives warning of her intention:
The quasi-calypso noise-vessel loitered on international airwaves back in 2006, but thanks to YouTube we can remind ourselves of the song and can all endure it again.
So, if you do feel the need to listen to the original, try to get through as much of the video's four minutes and 25 seconds below, which mainly depicts Paris romping around with a man on a beach in what looks like a mediocre aftershave advert.
Really though, one good thing to come out of all this is the over-the-top replies to her tweet from people who are genuinely excited by the news.
Amazingly, there are more songs in Paris's canon, including two from the last few years that are so Auto-Tuned that it might as well be a computer singing.
