Sting performed at the reopening of The Bataclan in Paris a year after the terror attacks took place.

The musician appeared on Saturday night (November 12), the eve of the one-year anniversary of Islamist militants killing 90 people at the venue as part of co-ordinated attacks in the French capital, which left 130 people dead.

Sting led a minute's silence at The Bataclan to remember the victims of the attack, speaking in French to explain: "[We] remember and honour those who lost their lives in the attacks a year ago and celebrate the life and music of this historic venue.

"So before we begin, I would like to ask that we observe one minute of silence. We shall not forget them."

Sting will donate all money made from the show to two survivors' charities while The Bataclan has been entirely renovated since the attack.

According to BBC News, people entering the venue for Sting's concert on the eve of the one-year anniversary of the attacks were searched multiple times by security.

The Bataclan was closed yesterday (November 13) while François Hollande and the city's mayor, Anne Hidalgo, laid memorial plaques at each of the city's targeted sites of terror attacks last year.

Members of Eagles of Death Metal, who were performing at The Bataclan when gunmen burst into the venue and opened fire, were present at the unveiling of the plaque.
