It's the news Mixers everywhere will be happy hear - Little Mix have started work on their fourth album and it's going really really well.

The girl group had their first meeting about the upcoming project this week and reckon they've already got some exciting songs in the bag.

"We've only had one meeting just yesterday - listening to some new tracks - and we're very very happy, so we'll be starting on that soon," Jesy Nelson told Digital Spy at Capital's Summertime Ball.

The four-piece's new album will serve as the follow-up to 2015's Get Weird, which has become the biggest-selling album of their career.

Little Mix opened Capital's Summertime Ball earlier today (June 11), performing hits like 'Black Magic', 'Move' and 'Wings' to an 80,000-strong crowd.
