Adele witnessed one of "the most beautiful" moments she's ever seen at one of her shows while playing her first ever headline date at London's O2 Arena in London last night (March 15).

The star was so excited about what she saw during her rendition of 'Make You Feel My Love', she briefly interrupted her own performance.

As soon as she was done with her famous take on the Bob Dylan classic, though, she asked the couple: "Did you just get engaged? Did you? Oh my god.

"I thought there was a fight at first. I saw loads of lights on - like camera phone lights - then I saw loads of arms flying and then I saw you kissing!

"Thanks for doing that at my show. That was so sweet."

Adele then got the newly-engaged couple on stage to show off the sparkly ring.

"How did you hear him over me wailing away?" she asked, to big laughs from the crowd.

The couple revealed that they had been together for 12 years before their engagement that evening.

"You've been going out for longer than I've been making music, so that's how overdue you are," Adele quipped.

"That was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed at one of my shows."

The singer played the first of eight dates at London's O2 Arena as part of her Adele Live 2016 world tour.

The 27-year-old was also subject to her own engagement rumours, after taking to the stage with a big sparkler on her finger.
