Ask any act and they'll tell you that one of the best ways to get your music heard is through an advert beamed out to millions of television viewers.

Well, if you're an aspiring musician who writes and produces their own material, car manufacturer SEAT has just the competition for you.

The company is looking for artists to enter their Musicathon contest to win the chance to record a sound piece (between 30-90 seconds long) which will feature in one of their future campaigns.

Entrants have until March 27, 2016 to submit their sound pieces, before a select few potential winners are flown to Berlin, Germany in May to compete in the three-day Musicathon event.

There, the winning SEAT Sound Talents will be crowned and their specially-recorded music will feature in a mini movie made by the car company.

That's not before they are whisked off to a recording studio in Los Angeles to lay down their winning composition.
