The View have announced a UK tour for September and October

The View have released dates for their UK tour, taking place later this year.

The Scottish band will play in cities including London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds, Nottingham and Aberdeen.

The tour will coincide with the release of their fifth studio album Ropewalk, which is expected to drop on September 11.

Speaking about their upcoming album, lead singer Kyle Falconer said: "I think it's our most inventive album yet. We really opened ourselves up to creative possibilities, and thankfully the vision paid off.

"We can't wait to get out there and play it live."
