Las Vegas newbie Mariah Carey will perform at the Billboard Music Awards

Mariah Carey is heading to the 2015 Billboard Music Awards this month.

The Elusive Chanteuse will perform her new single 'Infinity' at the Las Vegas ceremony on Sunday, May 17.

Her performance will follow the opening shows of her Vegas residency, which begins on Wednesday (May 6).

'Infinity' is the lead single from Carey's updated retrospective collection #1 To Infinity, which is set for release a day after the ceremony on May 18.

She joins Britney Spears, Iggy Azalea, Ed Sheeran, Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas and more on the lineup for this year's ceremony.

Carey is a 14-time Billboard Music Award winner, and is the only artist to have scored 18 Billboard Hot 100 number one singles.

This year's Billboard Music Awards will be hosted by Ludacris and Chrissy Teigen, and will air on ABC.
