Nicki Minaj will appear at the MTV Video Music Awards, it has been confirmed.

The two-time VMA winner will perform 'Anaconda' - the latest single from her upcoming album The Pink Print - at the awards show on Sunday, August 24.

"The VMAs is a pretty big deal, so people go all out for it," said former American Idol judge Minaj. "I am very, very excited and looking forward to the performance."

It is Minaj's first solo performance at the VMAs ceremony. She previously joined Alicia Keys on stage for 'Girl On Fire' in 2012.

Other VMAs performers this year include Beyoncé, Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea, Maroon 5, Usher, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer.
