Producer says the alternate version for 'Perfume' is less produced.
By Andy JoannouPublished: 04 November 2013

Dr Luke has said that Britney Spears's new single 'Perfume' has an alternate version.

The producer has worked with Spears on a number of her songs, including 'Circus', 'Till the World Ends' and fan-favourite 'Inside Out'.

Dr Luke announced that he has produced one song from her upcoming eighth studio album Britney Jean, also saying his favourite track is 'Perfume', and revealing there are two versions of the song.

It is believed that the current version is a radio-friendly edit, while the second version is an acoustic edit.

Dr Luke responded to a fan asking what the second version was like, saying: "it's rawer and more the original version... less produced.."

Spears's vocals on 'Perfume' have been praised by co-writer Sia, RCA boss Peter Edge and producer Chris Braide.

Spears, who co-wrote the track, has previously said that 'Perfume' hits close to home and that the song is very special to her.

Britney Jean is available to pre-order from iTunes now and is released on December 2 in the UK.
