Emeli Sandé has revealed that winning the Brit Awards Critics' Choice prize was "the perfect end" to 2011.
The singer, who is also nominated for 'Best Breakthrough', said the accolade was "amazing", adding that she is looking forward to releasing her debut album Our Version of Events next month.

The star told Digital Spy: "It's amazing! I found out at the very end of last year, so it was the perfect end to a really fantastic year."
On her forthcoming record, she said: "I've got all this music that I've had for the past three years and I just want people to be able to hear it and see how they react to it.
"People can expect very honest, intimate songs. I guess it's my full story."
