Madonna's 'Sticky And Sweet' world tour will make its final stop in Israel, it has been announced.

The singer will play in the city of Tel Aviv on September 1, according to Billboard.

"I'm very excitied about returning to Israel for my last and final show," she said in a statement on her website.

The 'Hard Candy' star, who is a student of Kabbalah, last performed in Israel in 1993. She also made a private pilgrimage to the country in 2004 to visit the grave sites of Jewish sages.

Earlier this year, Madonna announced further dates to the UK leg of the tour.
