Cinderella has debuted at the top of the UK box office.

Disney's live-action re-imagining of the classic fairy tale - starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Richard Madden - took £3.8m since its release on March 27.


Home with Jim Parsons and Rihanna drops to number two, claiming £2.6m.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water enters in third place with £2.2m, while Get Hard earns £1.4m on its debut, making number four.

Divergent sequel Insurgent rounds off the top five, taking £1.3m.

Lower down, Seventh Son and Wild Tales enter the chart at seven and nine respectively.
