A new trailer for Will Smith's upcoming Netflix film Bright has dropped, giving us more of an idea of what to expect from the fantasy action movie.

The film is set in an alternate present day which has humans living alongside supernatural creatures.

In the clip we watch Smith's character Ward driving on a night-time patrol alongside his cop partner, an orc named Jakoby and played by Joel Edgerton. Then things take an exciting and strange turn for the worse:

The movie sees cops Ward and Jakoby responding to a standard call-in before a shoot-out begins, and investigations lead them to a "magic wand" – or as one character describes it, "a nuclear weapon that grants wishes".

Events go "sideways from that point", in the words of Smith's character to an interrogating elf (Edgar Ramirez). Yep, there are also elves – and some fairies.
