Larry Lamb joins fellow former EastEnder Phil Daniels in the first teaser trailer for The Hatton Garden Job, as two of the OAPs who carried out the infamous heist.

The film is based on the real-life theft from London's famous jewellery quarter over the Easter weekend in 2015, which ended up being the biggest burglary in the history of Britain, totalling around £200 million.

In the clip we meet Matthew Goode, a thief fresh out of prison who's presented with the opportunity to steal millions of pounds of gold, diamonds and sapphires from the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company.

But we quickly see he's the odd one out, surrounded by a team resembling a geriatric Ocean's Eleven, whose expertise he has to call on if he wants to make the heist a success.

Written and directed by Green Street 3's Ronnie Thompson, the film's synopsis describes it as a thriller about "a mysterious thief, who is presented with an opportunity to take down the exclusive Hatton Garden vault just days after leaving prison … [and recruits] a team of veteran British criminals all eager for one final chance at glory".

The story of the heist quickly grabbed headlines when it was uncovered last year, with A-list stars later clambering to be a part of the film based on it.

The perpetrators were later arrested and charged, with all but one man being found guilty.

The Hatton Garden Job is out in 2017.
