The sleepy town of Rose Creek is under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), and desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and all-round scallywags and ruffians.

The all-new, all-star Magnificent Seven are Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier).

The original film, considered a classic and with one of the best soundtracks from American movie history, is itself a remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1954 Japanese-language film Seven Samurai.

It's not the first time Fuqua and Washington have teamed up. The actor starred in Fuqua's Training Day and The Equalizer. The director has also worked with Ethan Hawke on 2010's Brooklyn's Finest.
