Emma Watson doesn't need to focus on blockbusters, because of a certain Harry Potter series that basically set her up for life. So she can sign up to true-life based stories like Colonia, which just released its first trailer online.
The film sees Watson's Lena happily coupled-up with Daniel Brühl's character, also named Daniel in the movie.
But when the pair become caught up in a Chilean military coup during street protests against Chilean dictator Pinochet, Daniel is abducted.
Lena goes in search of him, and her quest leads her to the 'Colonia Dignidad', a heavily fortified village that seems to be a combination cult and prison camp.
Colonia is run by Michael Nyqvist ( star of the Swedish adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo), who plays Paul Schäfer, the cult leader. Expect some serious opposition to Lena's hopes of leaving.
Colonia is directed by German director Florian Gallenberger, who also worked with Brühl on his last film, John Rabe.
It played at the Toronto Film Festival to mixed reviews, and it is yet to get a UK release date, though it opens in the US on April 15.
