Sonic the Hedgehog 3's first trailer has finally arrived ahead of its speeding into cinemas this December.
The threequel sees Sonic, Tails and Knuckles face off against Shadow the Hedgehog who was teased in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 credit scene. And to do so, they're going to team up with Dr Robotnik, of all people.
Shadow will be voiced by the one and only Keanu Reeves, and the trailer gives us our first look/listen at his take on the classic character.

The trailer was promoted by a series of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 projections around the world in London, Sydney, New York City, Tokyo and Seattle, featuring images of Sonic, Dr Robotnik and Shadow.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 follows on from the events of the Knuckles TV show, released earlier this year on streaming service Paramount+.
Idris Elba reprises his role as Knuckles in the third movie, alongside Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Colleen O'Shaughnessey as Tails and – despite rumours of his retirement post-Sonic 2 – Jim Carrey as Dr Robotnik.
James Marsden and Tika Sumpter will also be back as Tom and Maddie Wachowski alongside Tom Butler's GUN leader Commander Walters and Lee Majdoub as Dr Robotnik's long-suffering assistant Agent Stone.

Newcomers for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 include Krysten Ritter, Ted Lasso star Cristo Fernández and Alyla Browne.
Nothing has been officially confirmed as to who they're playing, but Browne – who was last seen as the younger Furiosa in the Mad Max prequel – is likely playing Dr Robotnik's cousin Maria.
Sonic fans will know that Maria was involved in Shadow's tragic origin story in the games, and a clip in the trailer seems to suggest the movie will follow the same story.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be released in US cinemas on December 20 and in UK cinemas on December 21.
