Sandra Oh and Awkwafina star in the first trailer for comedy Quiz Lady.

The duo play sisters who must scrabble together $80,000 in order to pay off their missing mother's gambling debts and rescue the family dog.

The siblings are at a loss as to how they will get the money, until they discover Anne (The Farewell and Shang-Chi's Awkwafina) is really good at a certain quiz show, and set out on a road trip to go on it and win the cash.

While Anne is quite uptight, Jenny – played by Grey's Anatomy and Killing Eve's Sandra Oh – is incredibly kooky with her streaky-dyed hair and handbag that's definitely not filled with cocaine.

She provides most of the laughs in the trailer, throwing out an accusation of racism in a moment of road rage before seeing the other person, who turns out to be East Asian as well, and hitting on a doctor before realising he's married.

The film also stars Barbie's Will Ferrell as the quiz show host, as well as Veep's Tony Hale and Scott Pilgrim vs the World's Jason Schwartzman.

Interestingly, Quiz Lady was originally meant to be a Netflix project back in 2020, but ended up being acquired by 20th Century Studios for a release on Hulu in the US. A UK distributor hasn't been announced, but we'd expect it to come to Disney+ here.

Meanwhile, Sandra Oh has called for her character to return in the recently-greenlit third Princess Diaries film.

"I am ready for the Queen. Call me!" she said. "I'm dying to see how Gupta has moved up in the world".

Quiz Lady premieres on November 3 in the US.
