Martin McDonagh's new movie The Banshees of Inisherin stars not one but two actors from The Batman.
The trailer for the drama features Barry Keoghan, who played the Joker in a deleted scene from The Batman, as well as Colin Farrell, who starred as the Penguin in the DC movie.
The Banshees of Inisherin focuses on two lifelong friends who encounter drama and consequences when one of them suddenly ends their friendship. Farrell stars as Padraic, while Keoghan plays Dominic.
The movie also features Harry Potter actor Brendan Gleeson. Gleeson played Mad-Eye Moody in three Harry Potter movies.
Keoghan starred in last year's mammoth MCU movie Eternals, wherein he played the coy eternal Druig, who has mind control powers.
Although no Eternals 2 has been officially announced, actor Patton Oswalt, who appeared in the movie's post-credits scene, pretty much confirmed that an Eternals sequel is going ahead. Therefore, expect to see Keoghan return as Druig.

Meanwhile, Keoghan's scene as a rather gruesome version of the Joker in Matt Reeves' acclaimed The Batman starring Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight was ultimately cut from the final movie.
But the deleted scene received a lot of praise from fans, who loved Keoghan's take on the iconic character. It is likely we will see Keoghan as the Joker fully in a future Batman movie, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
For now, fans will have to be content with The Banshees of Inisherin, which could be a big player in the upcoming awards season. Director McDonagh won an Oscar for Best Short Film in 2006, while he was nominated for writing both In Bruges, which also starred Farrell and Gleeson, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
The Searchlight Pictures movie will premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on September 4 later this year, while it will release in the US on October 21.
The Batman is now playing in US and UK cinemas. The movie's 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray and DVD are available to buy now.
